Load Sheading

The deliberate shutdown of electrical power in a port or parts of a power distribution system to prevent the failure of the entire system is called load sheading. Load sheading is the most talked problem in our country. It is common affair today. It has become a great problem in our daily life and it is a national crisis. It has created a terrible condition in our daily life. It has become a matter of strong debate in our society. We cannot lead a single day without electricity. The problem is getting worse gradually. There are many cause of load sheading. Firstly, inadequate generation of the power supply is the number one cause of load sheading. Secondly, the unplanned distribution of electricity is the another cause. Thirdly, illegally connections and artificial storage of production are also responsible for load sheading. Besides, stealing electricity in the pretext of system loss is also cause of the problem. Even some dishonest persons are also responsible for it.

 Load sheading has a very great influence and affect on the socio-economic development of the country. The problem is getting more serious day by day. All classes of people are becoming a victim of it. It hampers a lot. There are many bad impacts of load sheading. Because of load sheading, the entire lifestyle both domestic and industrial comes a standstill. Domestic life becomes painful as the housewives group have to work in the dark kitchen. The factories, mills and industries come to a standstill. It hampers the normal productivity of mills, factories and industries. Students cannot continue their studies. Emergency medical treatment hampered. Medical patients may suffer terribly. Even operations stop in hospitals. The food kept in the refrigerators gets rotten. Load sheadings help criminals to commit crime in darkness. Now the problem is going out of control. To solve this problem the government should come forward. The human beings are responsible for load sheading. The government should set up more electric power plants to meet the demand for electricity. Authority should disconnect illegal connections and fine the irresponsible person. The authority must plan for the distribution of electricity. Thus we can hope for not having load sheading anymore.
